AANZCA25 Sunshine Coast: Abstract Submission: Extension Of Deadline To Monday 28 July 2025

The AANZCA25 Local Organising Committee is very grateful for the huge number of account activations and abstract submissions we have received for AANZCA25, since the opening of the conference submissions portal on 20 June. Due to various well motivated requests, as many colleagues have been on leave over the past few weeks, or are currently attending international conferences, the AANZCA25 LoC has decided to extend the abstract submissions due date until Monday, 28 July 2025.

Please note that with this short extension, all already-submitted abstracts will also remain open to amendment until midnight of Monday 28 July –  just in case you want to tweak your title or do any refinements.

If you’ve not yet submitted an abstract, please do consider submitting before 28 July! And a reminder –  you are welcome to submit multiple abstracts for peer review and consideration for the conference program. The only limitation is that attendees will only be able present two papers as lead author, as well as appear on only one panel. In the interests of diversity and inclusion, attendees can co-author additional papers, as secondary authors, but should not present these papers.

Full paper submission is not required for AANZCA25. Abstracts of up to 500 words (plus optional reference) are welcome, for both individual presentations and proposals for panels.

On submission, you can indicate if you’d like to attend in person or online. Presenting and attending online will be facilitated by at least two of the conference streams being offered in online/hybrid format (as well as all Keynote presentations, and the AANZCA AGM).

AANZCA strongly encourages first-time attendees, students, LGBTQI + scholars, scholars with disabilities, and scholars from Māori, Pasifika, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds to put forward their research and submit an abstract.
